How Garners News Began
Garners News had humble beginnings being opened by Horice Garner in 1926, on South Street in Eastbourne East Sussex. The delivery started off quite lowkey and Horice only delivered a small amount of papers to the local neighbourhood. As World War II started, Horice's son, Jack, took the helm at Garners News and stepped up the delivery service. Michael, Jack's son took over in 1981 and then in 2007, Michael's son William took over and has upgraded Garners News from a newsagent into a modern newspaper delivery company.
